The focus of NIPP 2013 is on guiding national efforts to manage risk to the Nation’s critical infrastructure. Critical infrastructure provides a foundation for the full range of essential services that underpin American society. Securing this infrastructure and making it resilient is a priority for DHS.
Continued coordination and collaboration across the critical infrastructure community is needed to advance security and resilience and enhance overall national preparedness. With the release of NIPP 2013, DHS affirms its commitment to work collaboratively with private sector and government partners across the interagency and with State, local, tribal, and territorial partners to implement this Plan.
