Pre-Requisites: The course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-300 courses and must be completed prior to participating in ICS-400 Advanced-level training.

Course Description: This course provides advanced application of ICS for senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-Agency Coordination Entity. It includes an emphasis on large-scale organization, development roles and relationships of the primary staff, the planning, operational, logistical and fiscal consideration related to a large and complex incident and event management. It describes the application of Area Command and the importance of interagency coordination on complex incidents and events.

  • Lesson 3 - Major and/or Complex Incident/Event Management
  • Lesson 4 - Area Command
