Sharing Information and Intelligence Related to Food Importation and Transportation

This is a one-day training designed to bring together food industry, food regulatory and law enforcement to develop and strengthen lines of communication for sharing information. This is especially critical in the area of food importation and transportation. Modules cover the food importation inspection processes, Federal agency responsibilities (USDA FSIS and FDA), industry's role and the use of fusion centers for gathering and disseminating information. A unique practical exercise highlights the final module of the training with a mock fusion center and participants working in groups to respond to a food importation scenario.
